Description
The Opti-Sand L202 Moulding Sander has a right hand infeed and a configuration from right to left of 2 top spindles and 2 side spindles and will finish sand and sealer sand parts, such as mouldings, flooring, strips, etc.
The 2 horizontal top sanding spindles are mounted on a common plate and slide assembly and are placed above the roller conveyor to sand the top surfaces of the parts. These 2 top spindles can tilt downward up to 15 degrees and are adjusted up/down together by a hand crank, with digital counter, for different part thickness or abrasive wear.
The 2 vertical sanding spindles are placed one on each side of the roller conveyor and rotate against the feed direction to sand the sides or edges of the parts. The front and rear spindles each adjust up/down on slotted plates for even wear of abrasives and in/out by hand crank for different part widths and abrasive wear. Each vertical spindle tilts up to 45 degrees. There is a counter pressure roller across from the rear side sanding spindle.
The fixed height roller conveyor is powered by two worm gear reducers with AC motors. There are 10 powered conveyor rollers, each with a hold down roller above it. The hold down rollers are fastened to a bar that adjusts up/down by hand crank. This allows you to quickly adjust the height of all 6 pressure rollers at the same time. The 2 in feed and 2 out feed idler rollers are removable.
The sander has 4 connections for dust collection, each connection is 4″ in diameter. Total dust collection requirement is approximately 1,400 CFM.
